Rolling Hills partners with local schools and a variety of community agencies to provide you with opportunities to serve in our community. These opportunities comprise our Service Initiatives, which are great for groups or individuals. Check the Service Opportunity Calendars link above for details.

Life On Life - Service Opportunities designed for individuals:

Rolling Hills continues to partner with Transitional Youth by helping them develop phase 2 of their five-phase plan.  Home on the Range is Transitional Youth's vision of a working ranch that will function as an intermediary step to their urban transitional homes.  They are partnering with Royal Ridges in Yacolt, Washington, which is the camp serving as "Home on the Range." Tualatin School House Food Pantry Opportunities:

Drivers Needed

Drivers with an SUV or pick-up are desperately needed to pick up food from the Oregon Food Bank in Hillsboro and deliver it to the Tualatin School House Food Pantry on Tuesday afternoons once a month.  Help is also needed to pick up produce from Albertsons in Lake Grove Monday, Wednesday or Friday afternoons. New Opportunity for Community Groups to help the Tualatin Food Pantry!

Adopt a Food Program

Community Groups – consider adopting a food item for the Tualatin Food Pantry. 
The pantry has staple food items that they need to be replaced on a monthly basis.  These include: Tuna Fish, Canned Corn, Canned Fruit, Fresh Fruits and Vegetables, Cereal (hot or cold), Hearty Soups with protein, Rice, Beans, Cooking Oil, Flour, Sugar, Pancake Mix & Syrup, Toilet paper, Soap, Shampoo, Laundry soap, Bus Passes (due to the high cost of fuel)

Wednesday Shift Coordinator

The Tualatin Food Pantry is looking for someone willing to volunteer on Wednesdays from 12:00-3:30 to coordinate the afternoon shift. Responsibilities include:  welcoming clients, checking in clients, coordinating volunteers, shopping clients, processing food donations and closing the Pantry at the end of the shift.  If you or someone you know is interested, please have them give me a call.
